Position Overview

ECS is seeking a full-time Consultant II to provide client delivery services supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Claims and Appeals Modernization Office. This remote role requires a self-starter with proven critical thinking, communication, and client relationship skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support mail operations through multiple systems and escalate complex packets.
  • Access and use VA claim and appeal systems including Centralized Mail Portal, Caseflow, VBMS, and SharePoint.
  • Correspond with VHA program offices, manage correspondence and special handling requests.
  • Work independently with clients on ad-hoc mail operations and special projects.
  • Draft congressionally mandated report updates under team lead supervision.
  • Mentor junior team members and assist with onboarding training.
  • Prepare materials for client meetings, briefings, and reporting activities.
  • Support drafting and editing of deliverables including manuals, SOPs, and training materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with relevant work experience.
  • Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with Caseflow, VBMS, or VA's Centralized Mail Portal.
  • Experience in fast-paced mail, claim, or appeal intake environments.
  • Understanding of VHA organizational framework.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green-Card Holder to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
