Original Job Summary
Overview
ECS Tech Inc is seeking a Tier 2 Engineer - Journeyman to work remotely on the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Cyber data solution. This role supports the design, deployment, operation, and maintenance of a comprehensive Data Services solution for over 100 Federal agencies under the CISA initiative.
Role Responsibilities
This role involves providing Tier 2 support to the CDM Data Services product. Duties include:
- Responding to technical assistance requests via phone, email, or chat
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues remotely
- Logging customer interactions into a ticketing system
- Handling Tier 1 escalations and further escalating to Tier 3 when needed
- Following incidents to resolution and providing regular updates
- Supporting customers with CDM Dashboard issues, Kibana visualizations, external data ingestion, and transforms
- Creating Knowledge Base Articles and Root Cause Analysis documentation
- Maintaining effective verbal and written communication
Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to acquire DHS Public Trust Suitability
- Minimum 5 years of experience, including 3+ years as a Tier 2 support engineer
- Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or JIRA Service Desk
- Understanding of Elasticsearch/Kibana, Docker, Python, and DevSecOps automation tools
- Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) preferred
- Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Willingness to continuously learn and advance in the IT sector
