Job Description

ECS Tech Inc is seeking a Systems Engineer II (VMware) to work in our Pocatello, ID or Huntsville, AL office. In this role, you will design, deploy, test, certify, patch, and resolve interoperability issues for VMware components including the hypervisor, vSphere, NSX, vRealize Suite, and Site Recovery Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support on-premises cloud infrastructure.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for VMware environments.
  • Create and maintain a software defined data center for both bare-metal and virtual machines.
  • Automate provisioning and configuration of required server resources.
  • Monitor, test, and optimize application performance and system availability.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts to improve system efficiency.
  • Provide level 3 support and collaborate with vendors for issue resolution.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of related IT experience.
  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SCI/CI-Poly.
  • VMware Data Center Virtualization (DCV) certification within the last 5 years or the ability to obtain one.
