Job Overview

ECS Tech Inc is seeking a Sr. Elastic Engineer to join our Fairfax, VA office. This role is contingent upon contract award and focuses on designing, implementing, and managing Elasticsearch environments and observability systems within our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Elasticsearch clusters.
• Deploy applications using Kubernetes ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Optimize search query performance and indexing strategies.
• Ensure data integrity and security in Elasticsearch environments.
• Monitor cluster health and performance, addressing issues proactively.
• Develop and maintain observability frameworks using tools like Kibana and Grafana.
• Implement logging, metrics, and tracing systems for real-time monitoring.
• Analyze and visualize datasets to identify trends and anomalies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Document architectures, procedures, and processes.
• Prepare performance reports, issue resolutions and system updates.

Qualifications

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to support domestic/international travel.
• Possession of a valid U.S. Passport.
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
