Senior Network Engineer

ECS Tech Inc is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work in our Charleston, SC office. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The Senior Network Engineer for CONUS region supports the medical mission of the DoD by ensuring that complex LAN/WLAN/WAN infrastructure requirements are met. This role involves identifying and resolving large-scale network problems, using advanced network management tools, and providing high-level installation, configuration, documentation, management, and troubleshooting for DHA networked facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the premier network specialist and subject matter expert.
  • Acting as the CONUS and global point of contact for network issues.
  • Advising government staff, agencies, and contractor representatives on network design and management.
  • Using tools such as Orion SolarWinds, ARMIS, and Ansible for diagnostics.
  • Establishing network security protocols including firewalls, VPN devices, and IDSs.
  • Documenting network changes and providing written recommendations.
  • Studying vendor products to meet DoD and MTF requirements.
  • Participating in projects and providing proactive input on policies and standardization.

Qualifications:

  • Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related field with 5 years experience, or equivalent technical/vocational education with 10 years experience.
  • Compliance with DoD directives including DoDD 8140.01 and DoDI 8140.02.
  • Advanced certifications including CCNP and CISSP are required.
  • Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SNMP, DNS, etc.), and comprehensive knowledge of LAN/WLAN/WAN environments.
  • Experience with Windows networks, Cisco Systems, and Orion SolarWinds.
