Senior Network Engineer

Overview

ECS Tech Inc is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work in our Honolulu, HI office. This role is contingent upon contract award and supports the DoD medical mission in the Pacific region.

Responsibilities

The Senior Network Engineer for the Pacific region will:

• Identify and resolve complex LAN/WLAN/WAN network issues.
• Research network problems using tools including Orion SolarWinds, ARMIS, and Ansible.
• Provide high-level installation, configuration, documentation, management, and troubleshooting for communication equipment.
• Serve as the regional point of contact for network configuration and management.
• Advise government staff and coordinate with internal/external teams.
• Ensure LAN/WLAN security and maintain firewall, VPN, and IDS configurations.
• Establish and update network standards and protocols in compliance with DoD and DHA policies.

Technical Environment

Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SNMP, DNS, etc.), LAN/WLAN/WAN architectures, and diagnostic tools is critical. Familiarity with Cisco Systems, Windows networks, and network management tools like SolarWinds is required.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5 years direct related experience or 10 years with vocational credentials.
• Compliance with DoD directives and required certifications (CCNP, CISSP).
