Job Overview

ECS Tech Inc is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work in our Honolulu, HI office. Please note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Role & Responsibilities

The Senior Network Engineer supports the medical mission of the DoD in the Pacific region by addressing complex LAN/WLAN/WAN network issues. This role includes high-level installation, configuration, documentation, management, and troubleshooting of communication equipment at DHA networked facilities.

  • Acts as regional point for network issues and configuration management.
  • Uses diagnostic tools (Orion SolarWinds, ARMIS, Ansible) for troubleshooting.
  • Advises government staff and contractors on network design and implementation.
  • Manages network security with firewalls, VPNs, and IDSs.
  • Develops and documents network standards with the NetMOD Team.

Qualifications & Certifications

Applicants must have a Secret clearance and meet one of the following:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and five years of experience; OR
  • Technical/vocational certification and 10 years of progressively complex experience.

Compliance with DoD Directives DoDD 8140.01 and DoDI 8140.02 is required. Certifications required include CCNP and CISSP, along with mastery of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).

Additional Details

Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000.
