Job Overview

ECS Tech Inc is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support an Artificial Intelligence initiative in our Fairfax, VA office. The role involves developing and applying analytical methods across multiple classification levels and environments.

Position Responsibilities

  • Participate in technical meetings with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Work in person at the Fairfax office and classified locations as needed.
  • Cultivate an environment of customer service, innovation, and teamwork.
  • Mentor and train junior data scientists.
  • Develop methods for identifying, collecting, and analyzing large datasets to enhance GEOINT processes.
  • Perform advanced mathematical, statistical, and spatial data analysis.
  • Document and visualize datasets to support data integrity and analytical assessments.
  • Develop data workflows and assist stakeholders with best practices.
  • Automate analytic workflows using Python or other coding languages.
  • Provide advanced data visualization using GIS or other tools.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Must have active Secret Clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced expertise in Python (numpy, pandas, matplotlib).
  • Advanced experience in SQL and NoSQL technologies.
  • Strong skills in database principles, mathematical and statistical analysis, data transformation, and processing.
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions, text parsing, and metadata tagging.
  • Solid background working with various geospatial data formats.
