Job Responsibilities

ECS Tech Inc is seeking a Data Scientist to work in our Lackland, TX office (Situational telework). The candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including task tracking, documentation of digital continuity, and developing products that go beyond client requirements.

• Formally track tasks with assigned details and comments.
• Create digital continuity folders with SOPs and workflows.
• Develop additional products to increase client efficiency.
• Master and exceed task requirements within 60 to 90 days.
• Analyze complex datasets using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Develop predictive models for forecasting, anomaly detection, and risk assessment.
• Collaborate with SMEs to understand domain-specific data requirements.
• Perform data mining, cleansing, and preprocessing to ensure quality.
• Create data visualizations and interactive dashboards.
• Apply NLP techniques for unstructured data analysis.
• Develop algorithms for pattern recognition, clustering, and classification.
• Communicate insights through reports and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate and prepare data.
• Support decision-making with advanced analytics and new approaches.
• Conduct primary research to evaluate industry trends.
• Assist in creating research reports and generating Air Force insights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of work-related experience with 6 years supporting a DoD component.
• Experience in Java, C++, Python, or SQL; proficiency in Python is essential.
• Hands-on experience with Spark, DataBricks, and SQL.
• Strong skills in data wrangling, machine learning, visualization, database management, cloud computing, and data governance.
• Experience documenting processes and presenting at various leadership levels.
• Ability to analyze large datasets, develop predictive models, and create data driven solutions.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred certifications: DASCA or Open CDS.
• Required clearance: TS/SCI.
• Education: MA/MS or BA/BS with additional work experience.
