Cloud Engineer at ECS Tech Inc

ECS Tech Inc is seeking a Cloud Engineer to work in our Fairfax, VA office and various government locations. In this role, you will support the development and integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud solutions for a DoD customer.

ECS Tech Inc specializes in Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud solutions as an AWS Premier Partner, Audited AWS Managed Service Partner, and AWS Reseller. We focus on migrating custom and COTS applications into AWS, providing a comprehensive managed services suite including design, architecture, DevOps, systems administration, big data, security, and 24x7 cloud support.

  • Support large DoD programs in AWS GovCloud, Azure, and classified environments.
  • Collaborate with technical, operations, and business development teams.
  • Manage security compliance, patch management, and issue resolution.
  • Participate in a hybrid work environment with SCIF and remote settings.
  • Lead new business capture and proposal development initiatives.

Location: Fairfax, VA with frequent trips to Springfield, VA and Arlington, VA; minimum 3 days in person required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • AWS Certified Solution Architecture/Developer/SysOPS or AWS Solutions Architect - Professional certification.
  • Experience with Linux administration, DevOps, Gitlab, and configuration management.
  • Knowledge in PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS services.
  • Experience with cloud security practices, network protocols, and infrastructure documentation.
  • Minimum 5 years of customer-facing cloud project experience; 7+ years in IT platform implementations.
  • DOD 8570-01M certification (IAM Level I or Security+).
