ECS Tech Inc is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer specializing in air-launched UAS Operations. This role is based in the Lakeland, FL office and is a part-time on call position with potential travel based on NOAA mission needs.
Role Description
The incumbent will interface directly with the Uncrewed Aircraft Systems Division (UASD) staff to serve as the UAS operator for NOAA UAS operations on board the P-3 aircraft. Responsibilities include inspection, flight testing, and operation of the Altius 600 UAS system installed on the P-3 aircraft as well as any additional air-launched UAS systems.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years experience with small UAS operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in science, engineering, or equivalent preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a clearance.
- Technical and specification writing experience.
- Experience inspecting UAS for flight readiness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience performing maintenance on UAS aircraft.
- Experience supporting or managing projects and programs.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently.
- Experience operating UAS launched from an airborne platform.
