Senior Data Scientist at ECS Tech Inc

ECS is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support a project team responsible for managing an Artificial Intelligence initiative. The role is based in Fairfax, VA and involves working in a multidisciplinary, collaborative team environment.

Position Responsibilities

  • Participate in technical exchange meetings with customers, vendors, and the internal team.
  • Work in person at the Fairfax office and classified locations as required.
  • Cultivate a teamwork environment promoting customer service, excellence, and innovation.
  • Mentor and train junior data scientists.
  • Develop methods to identify, collect, process, and analyze large data volumes for GEOINT processes.
  • Perform mathematical and statistical data analysis to generate trend reports.
  • Document and visualize data temporally and spatially for integrity checks and assessments.
  • Interpret data from various geospatial sources and disparate datasets.
  • Develop and document data workflows and best practices across environments.
  • Identify, document, and address technical challenges independently.
  • Automate analytic workflows using Python or other coding languages.
  • Provide advanced data visualization using GIS or visualization software.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret Clearance with potential to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of experience.
  • 7+ years of overall relevant experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python (numpy, pandas, matplotlib).
  • Advanced experience in SQL and NoSQL technologies.
  • Expertise in database principles and technology.
  • Proven experience in mathematical, statistical, and data science techniques.
  • Advanced skills in data transformation, processing, and analytics.
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions and text parsing.
  • Knowledge in metadata tagging and working with various geospatial formats.
