Cloud Engineer at ECS Tech Inc

ECS Tech Inc is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team in Fairfax, VA. This role involves working on cloud solutions including Microsoft Azure and AWS for DoD customers and supporting classified and unclassified environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with operations, technical, and business development teams.
  • Monitor and enforce security compliance across environments.
  • Evaluate customer issues and recommend strategies and technologies.
  • Work in a hybrid setting with SCIF and remote responsibilities.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, program managers, and government representatives.
  • Provide leadership in business capture and proposal development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and drive solution excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • AWS Certified Solution Architecture/Developer/SysOPS or equivalent.
  • Linux administration expertise.
  • Experience in DevOps, Gitlab, Configuration Management, and Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Hands-on implementation in AWS components including Lambda, IAM, and more.
  • Strong networking knowledge and documentation skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of customer-facing cloud projects, with 3+ years in progressive roles.
  • DOD 8570-01M certification: IAM Level I or better.

Work Environment: This position is based in Fairfax, VA with additional local travel to Springfield, VA and Arlington, VA. A minimum of 3 days in-person (SCIF/on-site) is required.
