About the Advanced Cost Analyst Role

ECS Tech Inc is seeking an Advanced Cost Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency in Dahlgren, VA. The candidate will be responsible for complex cost estimating and analysis for defense programs.

Key Responsibilities

DoD Business Operations: Assist in executing operations for complex weapon systems and work independently, lead teams, and coordinate high-level activities.

• Assist in DoD Business Operations execution.
• Work independently and lead coordination activities.

Cost Estimating: Apply costing methods, quality reviews, develop cost models and estimates using various theoretical methods such as Cost Estimating Methods, Parametric Estimating, CER, Learning Curve Theory, and others.

• Develop independent government cost estimates.
• Create IGCEs for proposals, negotiation, and agency requirements.

Cost Analysis: Coordinate with programs for inflation, normalize data using regression, Monte Carlo, and sensitivity analyses, and produce various business case reports.

• Conduct regression and sensitivity analyses.
• Provide Analyses of Alternatives and architecture planning studies.

Cost Data Analysis and Collection: Develop cost data collection plans, maintain cost databases, and prepare unit cost data for reports.

• Develop and maintain Government owned cost databases.
• Prepare data for Congressionally required reports.

Affordability Analyses: Assist in preparing prioritized requirements lists, participate in reviews, and support agency budget submissions through cost estimates.

• Participate in affordability reviews and justify requirements.
• Support acquisition baseline documents with solid cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of applicable cost estimating experience.
• Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
