Process Automation & Technical Operations Specialist
Be a key technical contributor in a growing GreenTech startup: ecosistant, an emerging and sought-after startup in Berlin, is becoming the go-to point for online retailers regarding sustainability & recycling. We lead the transformation towards fair and resource-efficient e-commerce in the 21st century. Our mission as a team is to shape online retail sustainably and help dismantle trade barriers in international e-commerce. Currently, online retailers can effortlessly fulfill their legal recycling obligations in 30 European countries with our Compliance Management service. To support this, the team is now expanding to adequately serve the steadily growing number of customers.
To successfully advance the challenges of our growth, we are looking for a "Process Automation & Technical Operations Specialist" starting April/May 2026, with initial years of professional experience, who is eager to contribute to an excellent and modern team in a part-time capacity (32h/week).

Your Responsibilities
You will play a vital role in our team, combining technical expertise with the further development of our digital infrastructure. You will work closely with the Service, Sales & Marketing teams, and your tasks may vary over time:
Infrastructure & Automation
- Automation of processes (e.g., with Make) – especially in CRM/EPR processes and EPR compliance (Extended Producer Responsibility).
- API Integration & Synchronization: Connecting our tools with external systems (Webhooks, Pipelines).
- Further development of our tool landscape: Implementing strategic goals in Security, Compliance, and Scalability.
- Maintenance and administration of systems: Updates, backups, monitoring, compliance with security guidelines, support for data consistency, and improvement measures.
- Data Management: Corrections and statistical evaluations.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Creation of instructions (e.g., in Notion) and, if necessary, training the team on internal tools and process changes.
- Technical contact person and support for the team
Software Development & Innovation
- Development of extensions for CMS systems as well as small internal and external tools.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Unit, integration, and system tests (manual/automated).
- Conception of new digital services: Contribution to the roadmap for our compliance platforms and interfaces.
Qualifications – What You Bring
We are looking for someone with initial professional experience who is enthusiastic about contributing to a dynamic environment and jointly advancing our mission. Important to us are:
Technical Know-how
- Practical experience with automation tools (Make/N8n/Zapier), API programming (REST/GraphQL), JSON data, and AI integration.
- Experience with deployment via FTP, Git code management, and ticket systems.
- Initial experience with testing methods and monitoring/logging services.
- Bonus: Linux/Docker, Bash-scripts, Agile Testing, GUI-Testframeworks, LLMs, Javascript, MySQL, PHP, Wordpress development
Analytical Skills & Problem-Solving
- You think proactively, recognize risks early, and develop pragmatic solutions.
- High comprehension skills and independent work – you quickly understand complex correlations and can independently achieve excellent results.
- First experience in live operation (maintenance, monitoring, staging environments).
Mindset & Team Fit

- Communication skills: You explain technical topics understandably to non-technicians.
