Senior Software Engineer at eco.mio
eco.mio is an award-winning tech startup from Berlin focused on helping companies make smarter, sustainable, and cost-effective travel decisions. We are seeking an experienced fullstack engineer with strong technical and mentoring skills to build and enhance products that matter.
Core Responsibilities
- Build and scale features across multiple products.
- Collaborate with the CTO on architecture and practices.
- Mentor junior developers and champion best practices.
- Ensure reliability and continuous improvement of the browser extension.
- Co-architect and rapidly iterate on the recommendation engine.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and React expertise.
- Solid backend development; Python/Django preferred.
- Minimum 7 years as a fullstack engineer in a startup environment.
- Ability to discuss technical trade-offs with diverse stakeholders.
- Interest in mentoring and developing team skills.
Bonus Points
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Background in building recommendation systems or using LLMs.
- Hands-on attitude and passion for sustainability.
- Fluency in German and English.
