To support this initiative, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer who can translate complex operational knowledge, leadership insights, and process requirements into clear, consistent, and actionable documentation.
What You’ll Get to Do as a Technical Writer
In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to unifying how Echo Power communicates, executes, and serves its clients. You will transform operational expertise into reliable, repeatable systems, converting interviews, outlines, and business requirements into professional, easy-to-follow documentation that enhances alignment, improves execution quality, and elevates the customer experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop structured documentation, including procedures, processes, workflows, checklists, templates, and quick-reference guides.
- Translate complex operational and technical concepts into clear, practical instructions.
- Partner with Business Unit leaders and process owners to validate documentation accuracy and real-world applicability.
- Maintain document governance through rigorous version control, redlines, and organized SharePoint repositories.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation packages for leadership approval, executive review, and publication.
- Support HR Learning & Development in converting finalized SOPs into engaging training and rollout materials.
- Ensure all content adheres to Echo Power's standards for formatting, tone, clarity, and evidence requirements.
What You Bring
We are looking for a candidate with proven experience and a keen eye for detail:
- 3+ years of professional technical writing experience in operations, engineering, construction, healthcare, energy, technology, or other process-driven environments.
- Demonstrated ability to create clear, structured, high-quality technical documentation.
- Experience working effectively with subject matter experts to translate interviews into polished documentation.
- Strong command of English grammar, structure, and clarity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and various documentation tools; familiarity with Visio or similar process-mapping tools is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and version control discipline.
- Ability to manage multiple workflows and deadlines independently.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and active listening skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in policy development, SOP creation, or quality/operations documentation.
- Familiarity with process improvement frameworks such as Lean, ISO, or Six Sigma.
- Experience documenting workflows in engineering, construction management, field operations, supply chain, or project management environments.
- Ability to design templates and write in plain language for nontechnical audiences.
