About the role
Investment Banking Intern at Echo Partners
Echo Partners is a specialized healthcare and life sciences investment bank. We advise founder-led and middle-market companies on M&A, capital raises, and strategic transactions across pharma services, diagnostics, MedTech, and healthcare services. We are looking for an Investment Banking Intern to join our deal team and support execution across multiple active mandates.
Why This Role Is Different
At a large bank, interns format slides in a bullpen and never interact with the other side of a transaction. At Echo, you will be directly involved in investor outreach and relationship management from day one. You will help build and manage investor target lists, coordinate introductions, and track live deal flow across active engagements. This is real exposure to the capital markets process and key life sciences strategics and investors, and for the right person, it is the foundation of a long-term career in healthcare finance.
What You Will Do
- Build and expand investor and buyer target lists
- Support investor outreach coordination, scheduling, and follow-up across active capital raises and M&A processes
- Organize and maintain Virtual Data Rooms for live transactions
- Format and polish confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and pitch materials
- Support with financial analysis and drafting financial models
- Maintain deal pipeline tracking and prepare market reports and internal status summaries for senior team review
Who You Are
- Current college junior, senior, or recent graduate studying Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Fluent in English with strong professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable working independently in a remote setting
- Genuine interest in healthcare and life sciences
