Your Opportunity as a Cloud Platform Engineer I

We are seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer I to join our Workload Infrastructure organization and help build, operate, and improve our enterprise cloud platforms. This role is ideal for engineers early in their careers or experienced technologists looking to transition into Platform Engineering and cloud-native infrastructure.

As a Cloud Platform Engineer I, you will work alongside senior platform engineers to support Kubernetes-based platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure in AWS. You’ll gain hands-on experience with modern DevOps and cloud-native technologies while learning best practices for reliability, security, and scalability in large-scale enterprise environments.

What You'll Do

  • Support the operation and maintenance of Kubernetes platforms (Amazon EKS) under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist with the implementation and upkeep of service mesh components (e.g., Istio) for secure and observable service communication.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows to help teams deploy applications safely and consistently.
  • Partner with development, security, and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and improve platform usability.
  • Write and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, learning how to diagnose and resolve platform issues.
  • Help document platform standards, processes, and runbooks.
  • Learn and apply cloud and DevOps best practices related to security, monitoring, and cost awareness.

About You

  • 0–3 years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or a related technical role (internships, co-ops, bootcamps, or academic projects count).
  • Foundational understanding of cloud concepts (compute, networking, storage).
  • Basic experience or exposure to AWS or another major cloud provider.
  • Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes concepts (hands-on experience is a plus, but not required).
  • Some experience with:
