Description

The Design Engineer will analyze customer needs, determine required modifications, and design equipment that fulfills specified requirements. You will also be responsible for analyzing existing products to improve efficiency and overall performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design functional equipment that meets customer needs.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of company products and capabilities.
- Review and check detail drawings for assemblies.
- Create or modify assembly and piece detail drawings using AutoCAD and/or INVENTOR.
- Communicate with departments and vendors regarding timing and availability.
- Resolve drawing-related queries from other departments.
- Conduct field visits for measurements and observations.
- Travel with sales personnel on short notice to customer or vendor sites.
- Embrace Eagle Crusher’s quality system and drive continuous improvement.
- Perform any related duties to ensure company efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or approved Associate’s Degree) is required. A minimum of five years’ experience in mechanical design, preferably in a manufacturing environment, is essential. Proficiency in AutoCAD, INVENTOR, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is necessary.
Working Conditions
The role is primarily office-based with typical office noise levels. Occasional site visits require minimal physical exertion for moving materials.
