Role Overview

Join the Mako Studios team to design immersive mobile sports gaming experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Brainstorm live content art concepts and in-game brands.
  • Create multiple fresh layouts and design iterations.
  • Produce assets using graphic design principles including 3D, photo bashing, and paint-over techniques.
  • Define visual tone for UI, supporting consistency with the product's art direction.
  • Develop UI screens and maintain the design system in collaboration with directors and teams.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience or related degree in art or design.
  • Strong skills in screen layout, composition, typography, color theory, and iconography.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma or similar software.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience with Figma, illustration, photo bashing, and paint over techniques.
  • Strong visual design for in-game and marketing content.
  • Excellent organizational, communication skills and constructive feedback abilities.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay ranges from $72,300 to $99,800 CAD in British Columbia with comprehensive benefits including vacation, sick time, and extended health and dental coverage.
