Job Description

The GCP Subject Matter Expert at DXC Technology will design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective GCP solutions for enterprise and retail IT environments. This role is responsible for leading cloud migration strategies, developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Deployment Manager, and integrating third-party services such as Active Directory, ServiceNow, Backup, Antivirus, and FinOps tools with GCP.

Essential Job Functions

  • Design and implement secure GCP solutions
  • Lead GCP migration strategies and workload transitions
  • Create and maintain IaC using Terraform or Deployment Manager
  • Integrate third-party services with GCP
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD and container orchestration with GKE
  • Ensure security, compliance, and governance in GCP environments
  • Support Windows and Linux OS installation and troubleshooting
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 7 to 10 years in IT, including at least 3 years on GCP projects, is required. Candidates must have proven expertise in GCP native SaaS and PaaS services, hands-on experience with cloud migration, infrastructure automation, DevOps practices, and proficiency in Terraform, Deployment Manager, and CI/CD tools. A strong understanding of IAM, VPC, security frameworks, and GCP database services is essential. Experience with Windows and Linux system administration is also required. GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification is mandatory, with additional certifications in Azure, AWS, or OCI being a plus.

Other Qualifications

An advanced degree and additional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Certified Cloud Practitioner) are a plus.
