Overview

The End User Compute Engineer position at DXC Technology is for a customer-focused professional with experience in end user computing disciplines. Working on-site in Aldermaston/Reading – Green Park, you will support conference rooms, laptops, MPS and hardware services in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain communication through incident lifecycles
  • Manage refurbishment and deployment of PCs across AWE sites
  • Support conference room setups with advanced AV equipment
  • Perform software installations, OS deployments, firmware updates, and patching
  • Customize and test software versions, offering technical support
  • Collaborate with onsite teams to resolve technical issues
  • Offer LAN advice and troubleshoot incidents
  • Support network patching and asset management lifecycle
  • Work alongside project plans and demonstrate initiative under pressure
  • Provide out-of-hours support as needed

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Solid understanding of End User Support models and best practices
  • Experience with HP, Lenovo, Dell hardware break/fix
  • Service Now experience
  • Proficiency in Windows 7/10/11 and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with PC and peripheral hardware
  • Knowledge of MOD security classifications and guidelines
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation certification
  • SCCM knowledge and practical experience
