Overview
The End User Compute Engineer position at DXC Technology is for a customer-focused professional with experience in end user computing disciplines. Working on-site in Aldermaston/Reading – Green Park, you will support conference rooms, laptops, MPS and hardware services in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain communication through incident lifecycles
- Manage refurbishment and deployment of PCs across AWE sites
- Support conference room setups with advanced AV equipment
- Perform software installations, OS deployments, firmware updates, and patching
- Customize and test software versions, offering technical support
- Collaborate with onsite teams to resolve technical issues
- Offer LAN advice and troubleshoot incidents
- Support network patching and asset management lifecycle
- Work alongside project plans and demonstrate initiative under pressure
- Provide out-of-hours support as needed
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Solid understanding of End User Support models and best practices
- Experience with HP, Lenovo, Dell hardware break/fix
- Service Now experience
- Proficiency in Windows 7/10/11 and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with PC and peripheral hardware
- Knowledge of MOD security classifications and guidelines
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation certification
- SCCM knowledge and practical experience
