Durham University is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager for its Financial Planning & Analysis team. The role supports budget holders by preparing management information, financial reports, and comprehensive analysis to drive recommendations. The Role and Responsibilities
The Assistant Finance Manager will manage assigned professional services departments and specialist areas, ensuring financial records are complete, accurate, and valid. The role involves:
- Preparing and presenting management information and financial reports
- Analyzing financial data and supporting planning and forecasting cycles
- Implementing change management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Liaising confidently with staff across the University
Work Arrangement & Location
This position is based at Boldon House, a new professional services hub on the outskirts of Durham near the Arnison Centre in Pity Me. The role offers hybrid working with a minimum of 2 office days per week.

Person Specification & Application Process
