What You’ll Do
The Senior Associate Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer at Duck Creek Technologies plays a key role in implementing IAM solutions across both workforce and customer environments. This role supports the IAM Engineering team by assisting in development and implementation projects while serving as a liaison between the IAM Operations and IAM Engineering teams. The Senior Associate IAM Engineer works closely with fellow IAM engineers and cross-functionally with other teams, providing input on IAM decisions, troubleshooting IAM issues, and supporting workflow automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and developing IAM solution.
- Act as a liaison between IAM Operations and IAM Engineering, ensuring knowledge transfer and collaboration.
- Troubleshoot IAM system issues, particularly with Okta, Entra, and related identity platforms.
- Work on IAM development projects, including workflow automation, integrations, and identity lifecycle enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Security Architecture, End User Experience & Engineering, and IAM Operations, to support IAM initiatives.
- Provide input on IAM security decisions, access control improvements, and best practices.
- Participate in IAM strategy discussions.
- Adhere to on-call requirements, responding to IAM-related security incidents as needed.
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including evening, weekend, and on-call support as needed.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of system documentation and protocols, ensuring clarity and accuracy in the management of IAM solutions.
- Perform all other duties and activities as required.

What You’ve Done
REQUIRED:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology (IT), Information Security, or a similar discipline and/or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in Identity and Access Management.
- Some understanding of automation/programming concepts.
Preferred:
- Experience with IAM automation workflows.
- Experience with enterprise-level IAM governance platforms.
- Some hands-on programming experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Behaviors
- Hands-on experience with Okta (preferred) or other IAM platforms.
- Basic understanding of automation, scripting, or programming concepts, particularly in identity workflows.
- Experience with IAM concepts, including directory services, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and access certification.
- Knowledge of IAM principles, including Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), access control models, and security protocols.
- Strong cross-team collaboration skills, with the ability to serve as a bridge between IAM Operations and IAM Engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly document IAM solutions.
- Understanding of SCIM protocol, SAML, and OIDC/OAUTH.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to address complex IAM-related issues.
- Willingness to learn from other members of the team while providing valuable input to IAM projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment while balancing implementation tasks and support duties.
- Provide excellent customer experience and service.
Work Environment & Other Requirements
Travel: 0-10%
Special Hours: May be required to occasionally work evening, weekend, and on-call support as needed.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
