DT-Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Allied Health Professional Pharmacist for a vital travel job in Lower Brule, South Dakota. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to support the Lower Brule Indian Health Center, a federal healthcare facility serving Native American communities through the Indian Health Service.
As a Pharmacist, you will work on-site, providing comprehensive pharmacy services to patients of all ages within this rural federal healthcare setting. The position is a 13-week contract through July 4, 2026, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, working up to 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify prescriptions before dispensing.
- Evaluate medication orders for accuracy and potential allergies.
- Check for drug interactions and ensure formulary compliance.
- Process prescriptions accurately within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Dispense medications and apply appropriate labels.
- Counsel patients on proper medication use and potential side effects.
- Communicate effectively with providers regarding medication adjustments and patient care.
- Maintain meticulous records for controlled medications.
- Actively support and promote safe medication practices within the clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited program.
- Possession of an active, unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state.
- A minimum of two years of pharmacist experience within the past three years.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) is preferred.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, particularly with diverse patient populations.

Additional Requirements
- Ability to successfully pass a federal background investigation and fingerprint check.
