Job Description

Senior Product Manager for Data Quality Management at DSV

Are you ready to spearhead the newly created area of data quality management, set its strategic priorities, and own the roadmap to its practical execution? Then join DSV for a role where your decisions will ultimately enable forwarding agents to provide an even higher level of service at the world’s leading player in the field of logistics and transportation.

As Søren Kai Christensen, Senior Manager, Data Management and Governance, states: “You will be forming an area that has a major impact on DSV. Which, apart from ample resources, gives you a great opportunity for professional and personal development.”

Join an Inclusive Team with Massive Impact

You will join the Data Management & Governance team within Enterprise Data Excellence, aiming to unlock the full potential of data at an enterprise level. This team is responsible for data management and governance across DSV as a corporation.

The current team consists of 8 colleagues and is actively recruiting 2 other senior product managers for reference and metadata. DSV values diversity in nationality, seniority, and professional backgrounds, leveraging this to their advantage. Søren emphasizes: “We value and welcome different perspectives and we appreciate that every one of us adds something unique.”

Bridge Strategy, Analysis, and Execution

Your initial focus will be to create the data quality management strategy, identifying key areas and assessing data fitness for purpose within systems and applications. Once executive management approves the strategy, you will be responsible for its execution.

Representing data quality as a knowledge area, you will contribute to building DSV’s Enterprise Data Platform (internally known as the EDP programme).

Some of your key tasks will include:

  • Define and own the enterprise-wide Data Quality Strategy, identifying priority domains, critical data elements, and the maturity roadmap to elevate DSV’s data quality globally.
  • Embed Data Quality as a sustainable discipline, partnering with business units to define accountabilities, support change adoption, and ensure long-term compliance with governance and lifecycle requirements.
  • Establish and govern enterprise-wide Data Quality standards, KPIs, and dimensions, ensuring consistency in measurement, reporting, and remediation across all business units, platforms, and processes.
  • Decide on necessary change initiatives and technologies for data quality enhancement.
  • Monitor data quality trends and translate them into concrete requirements for data analysis across various domains, to be carried out by data analysts.
  • Integrate findings from analyses into business operations.
  • Ensure data models are fit for purpose, align with data governance standards, and reflect the lifecycle within a domain context.

A Data Expert With Well-developed Interpersonal Skills

You thrive in a high-performance environment and possess the drive to foster progress through collaboration, building productive relationships with various Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders.

Additionally, DSV expects you to:

  • Have a minimum of 4-7 years of experience in data product ownership or data management.
  • Hold a formal education in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business, complemented by industry certifications such as DAMA CDMP, DCAM, or experience in agile delivery environments.
  • Possess deep expertise in data quality frameworks, dimensions, controls, and lifecycle management, with hands-on experience applying these at an enterprise scale across complex system landscapes.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of data quality management frameworks, data architecture, governance, lifecycle management, and best practices.
  • Perhaps have a certification in data management or experience from an agile environment.
