Natural Extract Developer at dsm-firmenich
Our team in Grasse, France, is seeking a Natural Extract Developer to spearhead the creation and industrialization of cutting-edge natural extracts. In this pivotal role, you will guide projects from initial laboratory concepts through to full-scale production, leveraging dsm-firmenich’s unique assets and expertise. Your work will deliver high-quality, nature-inspired solutions designed to meet the dynamic needs of the market.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and optimize laboratory and pilot trials.
- Lead projects from laboratory development to industrialization, including pilot and process transfer.
- Be responsible and accountable for all necessary documentation and lab reporting.
- Lead technical meetings with peers and management effectively.
- Collaborate with scientists, perfumers, and flavorists to deliver state-of-the-art new products to market.
- Engage with operation teams to uphold the highest safety and quality standards.

You Bring
- MS degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, biochemical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in R&D or Production, ideally within the F&F (Fragrance & Flavors), food, cosmetics, nutraceuticals, or specialty/fine chemicals industries.
- Solid knowledge in extraction and purification processes of natural products, preferably within the F&F industry.
- The ability to work autonomously at the lab scale and practical experience at pilot and industrial scales.
- A strong mindset for data analysis and interpretation.
- Robust ability to multitask and prioritize work efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit for cross-functional teamwork.
- Fluency in both French and English.
