Engineer, Reliability

The Engineer, Reliability is responsible for improving the reliability and operational technical availability of production, logistics, and utilities equipment at the manufacturing site in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement strategies to maximize equipment durability and reliability.
  • Utilize data to identify critical equipment with low MTBF and high MTTR.
  • Manage equipment obsolescence and asset portfolio effectively.
  • Apply reliability analysis tools such as FMEA, What-if, and RCA.
  • Develop targeted reliability improvement plans and annual improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate with production and project engineering teams; participate in technical forums and Value Engineering meetings.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and report critical malfunctions.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the food, chemical, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of automated systems and process technologies.
  • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001/14001 and workplace safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software (e.g., SAP PM) with fluent French and English skills.
