Role Overview
Dropbox is looking for a Staff Product Designer New Initiatives to lead design for CompanyOS – an AI‑native operating system for internal work processes. This role involves being the design owner of a 0→1 product, collaborating directly with the Office of the CEO (OCEO), product, and engineering teams to transform ambiguous challenges into intuitive workflows.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including OCEO, engineering, and product.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for clear user flows.
- Conduct user research and usability testing for design refinement.
- Translate technical concepts into accessible and engaging experiences.
- Push design quality by utilizing Dropbox design systems.
- Incorporate stakeholder and user feedback for continuous improvement.
- Monitor industry trends especially in AI and productivity.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product design.
- Exceptional skills in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
- Proficiency with prototyping tools for complex features.
- Strong customer focus and experience with UX research.
- Ownership mindset with proactive project management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 0→1 product initiatives.
- Ability to engage with an executive audience.
- Expertise in designing complex, multi-step workflows.
- Passion for AI/ML and emerging technologies.
Compensation & Benefits
Expected annual salary range is $178,500–$241,500 CAD. Additional benefits include competitive medical, dental and vision coverage, retirement savings options, flexible PTO, income protection plans, business travel protection, perks allowance, parental benefits, and mental health support.
