Role Overview

The Senior Engineering Manager role partners with a dedicated Product Manager and reports directly to the CEO. This role is responsible for executing on critical business objectives around Growth Initiative Pipeline and Funnel Optimization while driving user subscription retention, trial conversion, and recurring revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage 12-25 engineers and several managers.
  • Partner with Product Managers to plan roadmaps and sprints.
  • Balance feature development with addressing technical debt.
  • Oversee Agile processes including backlog management and stand ups.
  • Review and approve design decisions and set technical direction.
  • Drive cross-organizational initiatives and career growth for team members.
  • Participate in on-call rotations if applicable.

Requirements

Candidates must have a degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience), a minimum of 8 years of people management experience, and at least 10 years as a software engineer. Experience in managing teams of 20+ and working on consumer-facing products, along with familiarity with Agile practices, is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience setting strategic direction on consumer products.
  • Expertise in growth, monetization, or funnel optimization.
  • Proven ability to partner with Product, Design, and Data teams.
