Director, Virtual First

Overview

Dropbox is a Virtual First company looking for a strategic and highly visible leader to drive the evolution and continuous improvement of our operating model. As the Director, Virtual First, you will shape how work, collaboration, and connection occur in a primarily remote environment.

Role Description

You will partner across the People organization and broader business functions including the Office of the CEO, Real Estate & Workplace Services, Corporate IT, Internal & External Communications, Events and product teams. Your responsibilities include setting strategy, designing enterprise-wide programs, and leading a team of program managers and specialists to innovate remote work practices.

Responsibilities

• Virtual First Strategy & Vision: Define and evolve long-term strategy through insights and research.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Build partnerships with diverse teams to execute a unified vision.
• Program Design & Experience Innovation: Design systems, rituals and experiences for optimal remote collaboration.
• Team Leadership: Lead, develop and set priorities for a team of seven dedicated professionals.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure execution of programs with effective planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement.
• Communication & Change Leadership: Craft clear narratives and champion Virtual First behaviors across Dropbox.
• Insights & Continuous Improvement: Use data and benchmarking to refine program impact and ROI.

Requirements

A minimum of 10 years of experience in leading large-scale, cross-functional programs in distributed or remote-first environments, with strong program management, stakeholder influence, design thinking, and communication skills. A Bachelor's Degree is required while a Master's Degree is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with product team partnerships, leveraging AI and emerging technologies, public speaking, and proficiency in data analytics tools like Qualtrics or Tableau.

Compensation

Salary range: $204,000—$276,000 CAD annually, plus corporate bonuses and RSUs as part of Dropbox’s total rewards package.
