Team Overview
The Communications team crafts the Dropbox story, turning ideas into impact and building authentic narratives. They work on Public Relations, Internal and Executive Communications, Media Relations, Crisis Communications, and Thought Leadership.
Role Overview
As the Director Social Media and Content Strategy, you will lead how the Dropbox brand appears across global platforms including TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Threads. This role is about building cultural momentum at the intersection of creativity, productivity, and internet culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the vision for global social strategy across major platforms.
- Define and drive what “on-brand” means on social media.
- Develop programs for creative audiences like creators, freelancers, and designers.
- Engage in real-time cultural conversations and newsjacking opportunities.
- Lead and manage a team of social strategists, creators, and analysts.
- Establish platform-specific KPIs and utilize insights to optimize strategy.
Requirements
Over 10 years’ experience in social media, brand marketing, or digital communications. Proven track record in building standout brand presence, coupled with a deep understanding of internet culture. Experience leading teams, managing cross-functional collaborations, and executing creative strategies is essential. Bonus experience in tech, design tools, or the creator economy is appreciated.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary ranges differ based on zones. For US Zone 2, the expected annual salary ranges from $189,000 to $255,600 USD and for US Zone 3, from $168,000 to $227,200 USD. In addition, Dropbox offers a comprehensive total rewards package including bonuses, RSUs, competitive health benefits, PTO, flexible work arrangements, and more.
