Sr. Technical Project Manager at DriveCentric
As a Sr. Technical Project Manager at DriveCentric, you will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, directing, and overseeing numerous high-impact software projects throughout the organization. This key position reports directly to the CTO, providing an opportunity to significantly influence strategic technical direction and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Maintain resource and timeline planning across a diverse portfolio of projects.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute projects to meet stringent requirements for scope, quality, risk, and timelines.
- Develop and nurture collaborative relationships with both business and technical stakeholders, including Senior Leadership, Product Owners, Design, Development, QA, and Customer Support, to effectively manage expectations and communicate updates.
- Determine the critical path for project deliverables and coordinate cross-team efforts to complete projects as efficiently as possible.
- Actively identify blockers and coordinate swift resolution efforts.
- Prioritize projects and tasks in collaboration with Senior Leadership and Product Owners, ensuring clear communication of priorities to technical teams.
- Analyze and communicate the impact of project additions or changes concerning timelines, risks, and resource availability, providing informed options for business decisions.
- Proactively manage and communicate risk throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Schedule, plan, and facilitate productive project meetings, communicating key decisions and action items clearly.
- Provide weekly project reports to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Utilize Jira and other essential tools to provide transparent visibility into planned and ongoing work.
- Track project milestones and tasks through all stages to ensure efficient execution.
- Take a proactive role in promoting and enforcing effective project management practices across teams.
- Collaborate with technical teams to estimate story points, monitor developer velocity, and make necessary adjustments for course correction.
- Apply the most appropriate project management methodology—be it Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, or others—to meet specific project needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all communications with integration partners.
Requirements
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience managing complex software development projects.
- 3+ years of experience working directly with Senior Leadership and/or Product Owners to craft realistic short- and long-term product goals.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading and guiding teams.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict effectively in both team and one-on-one situations.
- A strong ability to balance business and technical objectives when making critical decisions.
- Capability to manage multiple assignments concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Adept at quickly learning new systems and understanding their place within the broader organizational ecosystem.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are absolutely essential.
- Possess a positive, can-do attitude, contributing to a vibrant team culture.
Pluses
- Hands-on software development experience.
- PMP certification or a similar recognized qualification.
- Familiarity with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence), including both usage and administration.
- Working experience with multiple software project management methodologies (Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, etc.).
