About the Role

As a Senior Consulting Architect, your mission is to help customers rapidly obtain value from the Dremio platform post-sale. You will install, size, and tune software, connect data sources, create custom integrations and product extensions, and train customer teams including IT, data engineers, data scientists, and end users.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Application Architecture: Tailor reference architectures for performance, resilience, scalability, security, and easy maintenance.
• Data Modeling: Design and test pragmatic, performant, and scalable data models.
• Application Implementation: Guide customers on writing robust data access code using proper drivers.
• Infrastructure: Advise on hardware or cloud selections based on workload and capacity.
• Production Operations: Assist with deployment, configuration, security, monitoring, scaling, troubleshooting, testing, and tuning of Enterprise clusters.
• Instructive Consulting: Provide custom ad-hoc training and consultation based on customer-specific environments.
• Steering Conversations: Engage with customers to ensure best practice adherence and roadmap alignment through regular technical reviews and sessions.
• Identifying Needs: Collaborate with sales to identify opportunities for services or license expansion.
• A Team Effort: Work closely with Dremio Technical Support, Pre-Sales, and Sales teams for overall customer success.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of advisor-level experience in Professional Services
• In-depth, hands-on expertise in ANSI SQL, data architecture, and modeling
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Python scripting, and Linux
• Experience with cloud technologies, ETL, REST APIs, and SQL engines
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex technical topics
• Willingness to travel up to 30% with proficiency in English and German

Bonus Points

• Experience with dbt and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Fluency in an additional European language
