Job Description
About Dragonfruit
Four years ago, Dragonfruit embarked on a mission to unite exceptional visual storytellers, viral video strategists, and high-profile clients to transform content creation and consumption on YouTube. This endeavor has surpassed all expectations, generating over a billion organic views and hundreds of millions of subscribers for creators and organizations like MrBeast, Ali Abdaal, Mark Manson, Chris Williamson, Codie Sanchez, Y Combinator, e.l.f. beauty, WHOOP, ClickUp, and the Center for Humane Technology.
Unlike other social media agencies or YouTube businesses, Dragonfruit rejects a 'creator economy' that exchanges viewers’ time and attention for superficial, dopamine-driven entertainment. Instead, we are committed to leading a global movement to make YouTube a more valuable and educational platform, where views and subscribers are not the ultimate goal but a means of enhancing human flourishing. We believe in creating viral-educational YouTube channels that deliver genuine value for both clients and viewers.
The Role: Executive Assistant to the CEO
We are seeking an Executive Assistant to the CEO to play a pivotal role in powering the daily operations of a rapidly growing, mission-driven company dedicated to building something far grander than any single platform.
You will be intimately involved in the business's inner workings, managing the CEO’s inbox and calendar, tracking critical priorities, and ensuring that ideas are translated into concrete actions. Your contributions will directly support leadership in shaping large-scale creative, educational, and media initiatives that impact millions and foster real, enduring value.
If you are drawn to ambitious concepts, creative industries, and thrive within a company deeply committed to impact, craftsmanship, and long-term vision, this role offers an unparalleled front-row perspective on how something truly meaningful is built from the ground up.
This is a fully remote position, requires no travel, and demands full-time availability during Pacific Standard Time (PST).
What you can expect:
- Own the CEO’s inbox: Read, research, triage, and prioritize incoming communications; respond appropriately and flag urgent or high-impact items.
- Manage a complex executive calendar: Schedule meetings across various time zones, safeguard essential focus time, and provide thoughtful recommendations regarding priorities.
- Track tasks, decisions, and follow-ups: Document action items, key decisions, and next steps during meetings, capture notes as needed, log everything in ClickUp (or similar project management software), and ensure timely completion.
- Anticipate needs: Stay proactively aware of upcoming commitments, responsibilities, and deadlines with minimal required follow-up.
- Cross-team coordination: Serve as a reliable point of contact between the CEO and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and consistent follow-through.
- Operate with discretion: Handle sensitive information with the utmost professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Thrive in a startup environment: Adapt swiftly, take full ownership, and contribute to bringing structure within a fast-moving organization.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar executive support role.
- Extremely high level of English proficiency (near-native written and spoken) – this role demands drafting emails, interpreting nuance, and communicating clearly with U.S.-based executives.
- Prior experience supporting a CEO or Founder is preferred (but not strictly required).
- Demonstrated ability to streamline inboxes and effectively manage complex calendars.
- Strong project and task management skills, including hands-on experience with ClickUp or comparable tools.
Perks:
- Work from anywhere (we are 100% remote).
- Performance-based compensation growth.
- Unlimited reimbursement for book purchases (we encourage reading!).
- Quarterly health stipend.
- Paid volunteering: one day per year dedicated to a cause of your choice.
- Work closely with senior leadership at a fast-growing, values-driven company.
- Collaborate with some of the biggest brands in the world.
