About Dragonfly Portfolio CTO / Engineering Leader Role

Dragonfly is a crypto-native Venture Capital and research firm with over $4B in assets under management and more than 160 portfolio companies. This role connects experienced engineering leaders with portfolio companies actively hiring for senior roles such as Founding Engineer, CTO, and Head of Engineering.

What We’re Looking For

  • Engineering leadership experience in building and shipping crypto products.
  • Ability to execute independently in 0 to 1 environments.
  • Strong technical judgment with a bias toward action.
  • Experience in hiring, leading, and retaining high-performing teams.
  • Comfort working directly with founders on strategy and product.
  • Deep familiarity with the crypto ecosystem across protocols, smart contracts, DeFi products, or infrastructure scaling.

About The Role(s)

  • Lead engineering from the ground up and own technical decisions.
  • Build and launch core protocols, infrastructure layers or crypto-native products.
  • Partner with the CEO/founders to shape long-term technical strategy.
  • Stay hands-on while building a high-performing engineering culture.
  • Drive execution and innovation in high-impact crypto environments.
