About The Role: Data Scientist - Agentic AI
You will push the frontier of agentic AI for complex legal tasks. Responsibilities include designing data‑driven experiments, curating evaluation datasets with legal SMEs, fine‑tuning models to improve performance, and collaborating with NLP/ML engineers and legal experts to translate real‑world workflows into robust systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct rigorous experiments on legal agent workflows.
- Analyze production metrics and propose performance improvements.
- Identify and fine‑tune high‑value model components.
- Curate and manage high‑quality labeled datasets.
- Integrate models into production with cross‑functional partners.
- Pilot emerging techniques and drive innovation.
Requirements
Minimum 1+ years in applied NLP/ML or data science with hands‑on experience in designing experiments and working with LLM-driven agents. Proficiency in Python and modern ML tooling is necessary, alongside clear communication abilities and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience in information retrieval, training fine-tuned models (SFT, RFT), implementing function calling, and previous exposure to legal or compliance domains. Mentorship and technical leadership experience are also valued.
