Job Summary
The Analytical Scientist will join the Research and Development team to develop, validate, and implement analytical methods, with an emphasis on quantifying and identifying genotoxic impurities in pharmaceutical products. The role requires extensive use of chromatography techniques, adherence to regulatory standards, and a strong background in analytical chemistry, method development, and data analysis.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Review scientific literature on genotoxic impurities and chromatography methods.
- Develop and optimize chromatography-based methods for accurate quantification.
- Address regulatory deficiency queries related to analytical methods.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of reference and working standards.
- Conduct method validation studies and transfer validated methods to QC.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on method development and validation.
- Perform forced degradation studies to identify and understand impurities.
- Conduct real-time analysis during product development for quality assurance.
- Compile and assess stability data for product profiles.
- Evaluate product development strategies and address cross-functional challenges.
- Manage procurement of chemicals, solvents, columns, and laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory equipment as per GLP standards and calibration schedules.
- Ensure a clean and controlled laboratory environment.
- Maintain organized documentation for compliance with audit requirements.
Qualifications
- Masters in Science/Organic Chemistry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in analytical method development.
Technical Skills
- Experience in process scale-up of APIs and process optimization.
- Proficient in Wet analysis including IR, UV, Moisture analysis, and Chromatographic techniques.
- Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
- Proven record in method validation and documentation.
