Data Analyst – Total Video - DPG Media Nederland
Antwerp/Amsterdam – Reach 91% of all Dutch residents with your work. As a Data Analyst in our dedicated Total Video team, you make a daily impact through our news media, magazines, radio, and TV. What will you do?
You are the analytical engine behind a revolutionary advertising product for Belgium and the Netherlands. You translate complex datasets into strategic insights that form the foundation of a scalable, integrated ecosystem. Without your expertise, we would lack the unified data models needed to merge the worlds of TV and online video into one scalable solution. You do this by:
- Dataset mapping: Taking initiative to identify relevant datasets such as panel data and first-party data, and finding patterns and shared metrics.
- Complex data analysis: Examining intricate datasets and converting them into impactful insights for underlying data models.
- Business translation: Understanding business needs and transforming them into actionable analyses and concrete recommendations.
- Cross-border collaboration: Working closely with Ad Alliance (NL) and DPG Media Advertising (BE) to take the product from concept to scale.
- Strategic advising: Providing the team and stakeholders with data-driven recommendations to further refine the advertising product.

We are a newly formed Business Development and Product team, specifically created to lead the transition to Total Video. Over the coming years, we are making significant investments in this domain, giving you a unique opportunity to build a market-changing product from the ground up. Our team is a hybrid mix of professionals with business, product, and technology backgrounds. We are part of the Advertising Ecosystem & Strategy domain, which includes Advertising Strategy, Advertising Ecosystem, and Business Analysis. Together, we operate in a dynamic environment where innovation, data models, and large-scale rollouts come together.
What makes you the ideal candidate?
For this role, we are looking for a driven media maker. You are optimistic, involved, motivated, and creative – and you can look beyond the numbers to see the story they tell about our audience and advertisers.
You also possess:
- 5+ years of experience as a data analyst, preferably in the media industry.
- Strong analytical skills and proven ability to identify patterns in complex datasets.
- Experience with SQL, Python, and data visualization tools such as Looker, Qlik, or Tableau.
- The ability to turn analyses into practical recommendations for the team and relevant business stakeholders.
- Affinity with statistics and predictive modelling, preferably in a media or advertising context.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
