About the role
Senior Network Operations Professional
DPD Deutschland is seeking a Senior Professional for Network Operations. This is a project-based role with a minimum duration of 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to the Network Operations team.
- Plan and optimize the network, including interface management, and implement strategic objectives into operative national and international network concepts.
- Control the national and international linehaul network, including timing, frequencies, utilization analyses, and daily operational adjustments.
- Manage network-level incidents and escalations.
- Steer the optimal use of swap bodies for traffic to ensure efficient line and round-trip transports, as well as customer pick-ups.
- Perform performance monitoring and cost control through tracking and analysis of network KPIs.
- Conduct cost and efficiency analyses of transport and network costs, identify efficiency potentials, and implement measures.
Qualifications
- Availability for a project duration of at least 6 months.
- Solid professional and leadership experience in logistics with demonstrable expertise in operational and strategic network control.
- Experience in route planning, including cross-border transports, round trips, and network optimization.
- Proven project management and control competence in complex logistics networks.
- Customer-oriented thinking and action with a focus on service quality and network efficiency.
- Assertiveness, persuasiveness, and motivational skills.
- Innovation orientation and entrepreneurial thinking for continuous improvement of processes and workflows.
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
