About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Executive for Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) to join our Ports & Terminals team. This role is crucial in developing a safe work culture that embraces zero harm through health, safety, and environmental awareness. You will be responsible for identifying hazards and unsafe conditions, implementing corrective actions, and coordinating with various departments to ensure a safe and secure terminal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify hazards, unsafe acts/conditions in shift and intervene for corrective actions with Ops/Eng Shift in charge.
- Conduct Tool talks, Mock Drills, and Safety Campaigns.
- Coordinate with the Security Supervisor to ensure terminal safety and security.
- Effectively implement safety breach management systems.
- Plan and conduct awareness programs for Safety and Environment Day, and manage the Safety Employee of the Month/Year award scheme.
- Perform day-to-day activities as assigned by superiors.
- Provide induction training as and when required.
- Coordinate with CLMS to ensure contracted staff compliance with CLMS safety requirements.
- Liaise with the Shift Superintendent to remove unauthorized vehicles within the terminal.
- Assist Ops/Eng Shift in charge in handling emergencies within the Terminal.
- Report all near misses and hazards.
- Conduct inspections of fire fighting and life-saving equipment, container handling equipment, and engagement programs as assigned.
- Oversee preliminary investigations during your shift.
