About the role
Information Security Analyst at DP World
DP World, a global leader in port and logistics operations that handles over 10% of world trade, is seeking an Information Security Analyst. This role is integral to the Information Security team for the region, contributing significantly to the prevention of security incidents. It requires a broad understanding of IT and IT General Controls, along with specialized technical knowledge in Information Security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the organization's existing security infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities.
- Devise plans to mitigate potential threats and proactively respond to incidents.
- Monitor network traffic and analyze security logs.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats.
- Develop and enforce security policies and protocols.
- Conduct security audits and educate employees on best practices.
- Participate in project- and operationally focused work regarding end-user security protection technologies, including implementing standards and processes.
- Provide security event monitoring and incident management support.
- Develop communications and actively promote information security awareness among staff.
- Coordinate security assessments, report on penetration testing results, and proactively identify and mitigate internal and external threats.
- Assist in developing security checklists.
- Conduct cybersecurity due diligence for new acquisitions and integrations, including risk assessments, compliance checks, and remediation planning.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT Security, or equivalent professional training and security industry certifications.
- Minimum of two years of related work experience in positions with increasing responsibility.
- Experience in information technology encompassing SIEM, Data Loss Protection, Vulnerability Management, Forensics, IDS/IPS, privilege and identity management, software and security architectures (NIST2, ISO 27001).
- Thorough knowledge of information security principles and practices.
- Knowledge of industry-standard processes (SDLC, CMMI, Change Management, ITIL, OWASP), methodologies, standards, best practices, and encryption methods.
- Understanding of network and host-based intrusion detection (NDS/HDS), non-repudiation, access control, network security, threat modeling, SSL/TLS, Digital Signatures, auditing architectures, application vulnerabilities, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is desired.
- Understanding of methods and models within information security & compliance, including risk analysis and mitigation, policies, regulatory environment, technologies, architecture, and best practices.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
