About the role
In House Legal Advocate
Downtown Lifespaces is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented In-House Advocate/Lawyer to oversee all legal aspects of real estate redevelopment. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating critical legal documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing legal counsel on property-related matters.Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review Development Agreements, Permanent Alternate Accommodation Agreements (PAAA), Lease Deeds, and Conveyance Documents Etc.
- Conduct land title due diligence and verify ownership records to mitigate legal risks.
- Draft and respond to notices, letters, and queries from government authorities, housing societies, and regulatory bodies.
- Liaise with municipal corporations, revenue authorities.
- Handle dispute resolution, litigation management, and coordinate with external legal counsels when required.
- Stay updated with evolving real estate laws, RERA regulations, and redevelopment policies to ensure legal adherence.
Qualifications & Skills:
- LLB/LLM from a recognized university.
- 7+ years of experience in real estate law, particularly redevelopment projects.
- Expertise in property laws, RERA, MHADA, municipal regulations, and land acquisition laws.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
