About the Role

The Principal Product Designer Risk & Compliance role is an influential individual contributor position based in Barcelona. You will own design outcomes for key programs and emerging areas, partnering with cross-functional teams to shape product design strategy, evaluate impact, and drive integration of intelligence systems.

  • Shape Intelligence Experiences: Design intuitive UX for complex geopolitical and security data.
  • Champion Product Integration: Seamlessly integrate acquired intelligence platforms.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with product, engineering, editorial, and intelligence experts.
  • Drive Innovation: Identify opportunities for risk and compliance solutions.
  • Own End-to-End Design: Mentor teams and guide design from concept to implementation.

What a Successful Candidate Will Do

First 30 Days: Immerse in the product suite, understand workflows, and establish connections with key teams.

First 60 Days: Conduct user research, develop concepts, present designs, and align strategic direction.

First 90 Days: Lead design prototyping, ensure technical feasibility and iterate on user experience strategies.

After 6 Months: Launch a significant integrated product feature, establish long-term UX strategy, and mentor design teams.

You Have

  • 7-10+ years of progressive product design experience with 3-5 years at a Principal level.
  • Expertise in end-to-end product design including visual design, prototyping, and complex data visualization.
  • A strong ability to influence cross-functional teams, including executive leadership.
  • Experience in designing for risk, compliance, or information services sectors.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to convey design rationale.
  • A proactive, collaborative work style with a focus on user-centered design.
