Overview

The Summer 2026 Data Analytics Intern at Dow Jones will work with the Governance team to build reports and dashboards to help teams understand performance. This internship runs from June 8, 2026 to August 14, 2026 and requires eligibility confirmation through your university.

About the Role

As a Data Analytics Intern, you will support engineering, product, and design teams by:

  • Writing SQL queries to extract and transform data into reports and dashboards.
  • Assisting with data ingestion and expanding reporting capabilities through new data streams.
  • Collaborating with Data Engineering & Visualization teams to create actionable business insights.
  • Helping scale system innovation and testing experimental analytics models.
  • Optimizing workflows by configuring software integrations and creating technical guides.

You Have

Qualifications include:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field with expected graduation in 2027 or 2028.
  • Solid foundation in SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and basic scripting in JavaScript or Python.
  • Understanding of REST APIs and version control using Git.
  • Ability to analyze raw data and communicate insights clearly.
  • A genuine curiosity about modern software team operations.
