Principal Solutions Architect

Overview

At Dotmatics, science, data, and decision-making are intertwined to foster innovation. As the Principal Solutions Architect, you will serve as a senior technical authority within Dotmatics Professional Services, designing and governing end-to-end solutions for customer implementations of the Dotmatics Luma platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the design authority for Luma-based customer solutions.
• Define logical and physical architectures for applications, data, and integrations.
• Shape functional and non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, and security.
• Design integration and data strategies using Apache NiFi, APIs, and Databricks.
• Collaborate with Sales, PreSales, Product, Engineering, and external partners such as Siemens.
• Provide architectural guidance and enable partner-led implementations.

Required Experience & Skills

A minimum of 10+ years in designing enterprise-grade SaaS or hybrid architectures, with a strong foundation in integration patterns, APIs, data pipelines, and distributed systems. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. You should excel in both technical depth and clear communication in customer-facing scenarios.

Technical & Ecosystem Requirements

• Expertise in data platforms (Databricks) and integration tools (Apache NiFi).
• Experience with complex application landscapes including ELN, LIMS, and ERP.
• A deep appreciation for scientific R&D workflows, particularly in life sciences.
• Ability to make architectural trade-offs considering cost, scalability, and risk.

Partner & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal teams, ensuring architectural alignment across engagements and partner ecosystems, while representing Dotmatics in joint Siemens engagements.
