Part-Time Department Administrative Assistant/Office Services Clerk
We are seeking a part-time Department Administrative Assistant / Office Services Clerk to join our growing Chicago office. In this role, you will provide a broad range of administrative support, as well as providing various office services assistance. Are you skilled at juggling multiple responsibilities? As a Key Member Of The Team, You Will
- Process daily mail; perform mail pickup and delivery at scheduled times. Assist with outside deliveries, as needed.
- Operate photocopy machine for large copying and scanning projects.
- Assist with end-of-day cleaning of kitchen and conference room areas, including tidying surfaces, cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment (e.g. coffee machines), and loading and unloading dishwashers to ensure spaces are clean, organized, and ready for the next business day.
- Order, track, and maintain inventory of office supplies, ensuring all areas are appropriately stocked and supplies are readily available to support daily operations. Handle returns to vendors promptly, as necessary.
- Input, track, and receive tasks using legal services workflow system. Assist with entering attorneys’ time, ensure accuracy by proofreading, using spellcheck and appropriate task codes to comply with firm policies.
- Organize electronic documents in document management system and shared network drives. Manage and organize physical files and other hard copy materials.
- Process reimbursement requests, check requests, and vendor invoices.
- Prepare binders, indexes, and labels; assist with organization of materials.
- Provide administrative support directly for first- and second-year associates, as requested.
- Provide client services/receptionist coverage as needed, including back-up for breaks.
- Assist with annual document destruction, as necessary.
- May be requested to perform other duties not listed above.
What We’re Looking For
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of administrative support or related experience.
- Accurate typing skills.

Pay Range
The pay range for this position in Illinois only is $24.66 to $31.91 per hour. This range represents Dorsey’s good faith estimate of likely compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will be dependent upon a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills and location and may fall outside of the range indicated.
