Position Description
This diverse role combines sales, customer service and marketing to lease apartment homes to interested prospects. You will lease apartments in our communities through product demonstration and strategic marketing. Making residents feel at home is another aspect of the Leasing Consultant role, with responsibilities including maintaining high levels of resident satisfaction and retention.
Additionally, you will execute marketing initiatives through web advertising and inquiries while monitoring competitors via telephone surveys and onsite visits.
Responsibilities
- Provide tours of apartment communities to potential residents.
- Maintain accurate records of phone and walk-in traffic.
- Enter property traffic data daily into computer systems.
- Discuss benefits of leasing properties with prospects.
- Conduct comparative surveys to ensure competitive market pricing.
- Perform outreach marketing activities as needed.
- Screen rental applications and qualify potential residents.
- Prepare leases for qualified applicants.
- Assist residents with questions, maintenance requests, and payments.
- Adhere to Federal and Local Fair Housing regulations.
- Complete reports as directed by management.
Requirements
Applicants should have excellent organizational skills, reliability, and attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook is required, with Yardi experience considered a plus. A minimum of 2 years leasing experience with proven sales ability is required, and a high school diploma is mandatory.
Compensation & Work Details
- Hourly rate of $22-$25 plus commissions.
- Full-time position (40 hrs/week), Tuesday-Saturday (9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).

Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
