The Analytics team at DoorDash is looking for Data Analysts and Data Scientists to guide measurement, strategy, and tactical decision-making using advanced analytics as we expand our global logistics platform. Analytics is integral to all operational areas at DoorDash.

About the Role

As a Data Scientist, you will dive deep into data to solve crucial business challenges, design and run experiments, and work with cross-functional teams to drive operational change. This role is not just about building machine learning models—it’s about uncovering insights and turning them into actionable recommendations.

• Collaborate with product, business, finance, and executive teams.
• Utilize quantitative analysis and data presentation to inform decisions.
• Develop full-cycle analytics experiments, reports, and dashboards using SQL, Python, R, and other tools.
• Apply statistical techniques and hypothesis testing to validate findings.
• Measure key performance levers and provide actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a thought partner across departments.
• Analyze data to understand marketplace dynamics and user behavior.
• Conduct experiments including A/B testing and causal inference.
• Build and train statistical and machine learning models.
• Manage stakeholder relationships effectively and set priorities.
• Travel to meet with business partners across different markets.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates with 3+ years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or related roles. The ideal candidate takes ambiguous problems and solves them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, a strong command of SQL, and experience with analytics tools and visualization are essential.
