Join as a Product Designer Electrical to work on new product development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of existing products.
Location
This position is based in Vancouver, BC at Dometic Marine 0s headquarters.
General Responsibilities
- Design circuits including schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, and routing using Altium Designer.
- Prepare design documentation such as PCBA engineering specification, drawings, and test reports.
- Support new product launches by collaborating with cross-functional teams including Design, Test, Manufacturing, and Automation Engineering.
- Conduct validation and qualification testing (EMC, EFT, and other automotive qualification tests).
- Work with embedded firmware teams to select microcontrollers and implement electronic designs.
- Provide cost and schedule estimates, support R&D projects, and maintain BOM for continuous product improvement.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor 27s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of electronic design experience; experience in consumer electronics and automotive/safety critical systems preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Altium Designer or equivalent electronic CAD program.
- Knowledge of motor drive technologies, sensor technologies, microcontroller parameters, and PCB manufacturing processes.
- Experience with communication interfaces (CAN, SPI, I2C, RS232), troubleshooting EMC issues, and familiarity with simulation and scripting languages (Python).
- Understanding of industry standards such as SAE, ASTM, ISO, and ISO9001 and ERP system usage for BOM control.

Salary Range
$82,000 to $96,000 CAD
